China, Shanghai GP, 14th-15th September 2019 and England, Foxhills, 15th September’19

The season is come to an end and the final round of GPs is also done. A1M Husqvarna team had only one rider in the startline and that one was Tanel Leok. Considering all the bad luck he had this weekend the overall result was good. From here Talviku will go race again in the UK and Leok’s next reace will be MXON in Assen!

Riders comments:
“The last GP round was held in China and I was 12th and 13th in the motos. Saturday was very difficult because my bike didn’t work properly and I missed out on qualification race completely. Then I was faced with a long night and early morning for of bike fixing. We found the mistake but in free practice the bike wasn’t fully working. So after this we still tried to make it better and al- though we got it working ok I didn’t have enough time on the track so it was a little uncomfortable in the first moto. In the second Moto I crashed already in the beginning and had to work up from the dead last but I was satisfied with my riding atleast. The knee is better and I can ride better and with more confidence. This season overall result for me is 15th position in the World Champi- onship which is very good result for me and I filled my goal. I would like to thank my team, spon- sors, fand and my family who have supported, where there to help out and made everthing possible!”

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: “Mx Nationals round in Foxhill ended up pretty early for me. Track was completely new and a bit sketchy for me. Time practise was not the best one and could choose the gate in 20th place. In first MX2 and MX1 race did a great top3 start!! Managed to lead only one lap in MX2 category be- fore had a nasty crash. Hurt my thumb ligaments, but try to do everything to be ready for the last british championship round in Landrake”

Turkey, Afyonkarahisar GP, 6th-7th August 2019 and Latvia, Cesis, 7th August’19

The season end is getting closer and closer and the race series are reaching their finales. Last weekend Tanel was in Turkey racing in the penultimate World championship round and Jör- gen-Matthias was in Latvia racing in the last round of Latvian championship. They both had their ups and downs during the weekend. Upcoming weekend will take Leok to China for the last GP and Talviku will try his hand in England and then already to the grand finale in Assen at Motocross of the nations!

Riders comments:
Tanel Leok: “The Turkish GP is behind me and I was 18-18 which gave me overall 17th position. Before going there I had been to the doctor 4 times to take blood and liquid out of my knee. I’m happy to see that after this weekends races the liquid didn’t come back anymore and it hasn’t been hurting so much. Albeit this I was still very cautious when racing and tried my all not to injury it again. Next in the calendar is Chinese GP and I hope to rise there in top 15 in overall in the World Championship which was my goal this season but to take it still sensibly. At the moment the most important thing is to be fit and healthy for Assen and as I can ride and train during the week with the bike as well the situation isn’t so nervous anymore.”

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: “1-2 in the motos and 2nd place overall in Latvian/Baltic race in Cesis. I managed to have good starts in both motos and win the first race. The second Moto I had the start win but I made a stu- pid mistake in the end of the first lap in a corner and crashed. I am a little disappointed about that mistake but overall it was all a good practice. Season overall from Latvian Championship a 3rd place. I missed out on Dobele round when there was Juniors World Championship and in Pärnu I had a DNF in the second moto. Thank you to all the supporters and fans!”

4TH PLACE IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS & Sweden, Uddevalla GP 24th-25th August 2019

4TH PLACE IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS & Sweden, Uddevalla GP 24th-25th August 2019

The season is slowly coming to an end and Jörgen-Matthias Talviku and Cyril Genot did their last GP races this year. Jörgen-Matthias Talviku became 4TH PLACE IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Hopefully we can still see Tanel Leok in Turkey and in China but current knee injury is putting some doubt in this as well. Weekend’s best result for the team was made by Jörgen who puts the 125cc class behind him as world’s 4th, Cyril struggled once again with the hard pack track and Tanel just suffered in pain. Let’s hope for good news soon and a positive season end!

Riders comments:

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: “4TH PLACE IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019!!!

I'm happy and disappointed at the same time. Would have been sweet to finish on 3rd place in the championships, but it is what it is and I take it as a good and positive EMX season, where I learned a lot. This weekend in Sweden ! went 5-5 for 5th overall, which was good. Huge thanks to A1MHusqvarna team for a great EMX season. Massive thanks to my sponsors and supporters for helping me. Means a lot for me!! Now it's time for 250 bike!!”

Tanel Leok: "My weekend was really difficult! I only managed 20th & 19th place. 4 days before the race I twisted my knee and needed to have some blood taken out and it really bothered me during riding as well. I need to go to doctor for further examinations to find out the problem. Big thanks to the sponsors and people who are behind me.”

Cyril Genot: “Another difficult weekend for me. Not the results I was looking for to be honest. Al- though it was a great learning process and I know what to work on for the future. Want to thank Tanel for the opportunity he gave me this year.
Thank you to everyone standing behind me!”

Germany ADAC round in Gaildorf 10th- 11th August 2019

Germany ADAC round in Gaildorf 10th- 11th August 2019

Last weekend A1M Husqvarna had only two guys racing on tracks- Tanel Leok and Cyril Genot and this time at German championship. If the last ADAC series round was for Tanel a weekend to forget then this weekend he was back on podium. Overall in the series he still holds a 3rd position. Cyril Genot wasn’t this time on podium but holds a strong 4th position with the over- all points. Now it’s couple days of training and rest and then we meet again for GP in Imola, Italy.

Riders comments:

“This weekend was fourth round of ADAC masters series in Gaildorf, Germany. I managed to fin- ish my motos 3rd and 2nd which put me overall in 2nd place. This track and place have a special meaning to me as well. Right here around 20 years ago I pretty much started my professional ca- reer when I won Junior World Championship there. I was quite pleased with my race. My physical is not the best at the moment and I couldn’t push as hard as I would have wanted to but I can feel it’s getting better already so it’s good. Big thank you to my team and fans who are always there for me!”

Cyril Genot: “I've had a decent weekend. 6-6 for 6th overall. Even tho I'm not satified with the results, I'm happy with the progress I made troughout the weekend. The track wasn't that easy to pass and I got stuck behind some riders, that cost me some places second moto. Will keep on working hard. Onto the next one! Thanks team”

Estonia, Fathers and sons in Räpina 03.08.19 & Belgium, Lommel GP 3-4 August 2019

Estonia, Fathers and sons in Räpina 03.08.19 & Belgium, Lommel GP 3-4 August 2019

Last weekend A1M Husqvarna guys competed again in several countries and all our riders did very well! Andero Lusbo brought home a winner’s trophy from the race held in Räpina and al- though no trophies were given to our other guys in Lommel, Cyril Genot did his best result of this season. On the difficult and rutty sand track were racing also Tanel Leok and Jörgen-Matthias Talviku who both got very strong results. Next weekend is ADAC race for Leok and Genot and then we meet again for GP in Imola, Italy.

Riders comments:

Andero Lusbo: “Yesterday(Saturday) was traditional Fathers and sons race on my home track in Räpina and also TOP200 series round. First moto I got away from the start in third place and it took some time be- fore I reached the 2nd position. First race I finished second. In the second moto I took the holeshot and lead the race from start to finish. 2-1 results gave me overall 1st place on podium. It was very nice to win in front of my home crowd.”

Tanel Leok: “Lommel was very difficult for me. I know it’s every time very hard race and for this years Lommel my preparation was not good. After ADAC crash the training has been limited and i knew if i start the race with my normal speed i will suffer and maybe not even finish the race. Still have pain around pelvis area and on my wrist. Overall it still was great i managed to finish 15th. Ok there is no Cairoli and Herlings on the start line but i take it on the conditions where i am right now. Huge thanks to my mechanic Mati who every time gives 100%. Big thanks also to all the sponsors and fans!”

Cyril Genot: “Really happy about my weekend here in Lommel.
Saturday started of great by being 6th in free-and timed practice. Had a decent start in the quali- fying race and managed to finish 9th.
Stoked about today. Very happy with my 7th overall. Can't thank enough everyone who've been involved through all of this. Thanks team!”

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: “This weekend brought me different emotions. Saturday began pretty good when I was 3rd in free and time practice in my group. First moto I got a very bad start and began to come from back to the front but I didn’t have a good feeling and couldn’t find good lines to make passes. Before the second moto I lost the start device when I was practising start and we discovered just on the start line. I already knew then that I have to begin my race from the end of the pack again. I got a hum- ble start but I made fast first lap and was already in top 20. On the 2nd lap I crashed and had to start my work again from the 30th place. I really had to put a lot of effort and I left all my energy on the track today and it awarded me with a very good 9th position. Overall 12th in Lommel and I am very satisfied that I managed to come out pretty good from this difficult situation! Thanks to the team, sponsors and family!”

Estonia TOP200 in Tihemetsa & Germany ADAC series in Tenfeld 20-21st July 2019

Estonia TOP200 in Tihemetsa & Germany ADAC series in Tenfeld 20-21st July 2019

This weekend was no GP held but still our A1M Husqvarna riders raced in Estonia and in Germany. Some were successful and others not so much. Andero Lusbo raced Estonian TOP200 series and finished in good 1st place! Tanel and Cyril raced in Germany ADAC series where Tanel lost his leadership in the series due bad luck but Cyril instead did good and finished on podium in Youngsters class! Overall a good weekend behind for the team!

Riders comments:

Andero Lusbo: “I competed on Saturday in TOP200 series round in Tihemetsa. The race went well and I was 1 and 1 in my races and overall finished 1st.”

Tanel Leok: “My weekend was complete failure. I lost my leader position in ADAC series and points gap be- teen with the new leader went huge. In the first heat I ran out of fuel during the last lap. It was raining in the night before and the track got deep heavy sand and they made it flat before the start so you had to really turn the throttle to get the bike moving and that sucked a lot of fuel also. I was afraid to refuel after sighting lap as they already fined riders in the MX2 race for this. The second moto I got a good start but I made a mistake in the jump and crashed high and hard. I managed to stand up somehow and still do some laps but the bike got damaged too much from the crash and the subframe broken so I was forced to DNF. I got myself a bruised femur and need to take the week easy so it doesn’t get worse. It’s not ideal as I haven’t had any real bike-time during these last 3 weeks but I will be in the start in Loket and I was able to walk already today so need to stay positive and focus ahead!

Cyril Genot: “I feel like I had a solid weekend. Felt good on the track and had a lot of fun. Satur- day went pretty well actually, could manage to get the pole position in qualifying.
Sunday started off great also with being the fastest in warm up. A bummer I missed out both my starts and had to fight from outside the top 25 to the front both motos. A small issue also cost me some places first moto but overall I'm happy to get 2nd on the box. Thank you to everyone involved!”

Junior world championship in Italy 13-14 July 2019

Junior world championship in Italy 13-14 July 2019

This weekend was also Junior world championship in Italy, Arco where also A1M Husqvarna rider Jörgen-Matthias Talviku competed. This time our hope for the future didn’t have so much luck and after terrific free practices and qualifying races had races filled with misfortunate.

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: “Junior Championship in Arco was a real rollercoaster weekend for me. In the free practice I was 1st and qualifying I was 2nd in my group that gave me a good feeling and confidence for the races. Both motos I got a bad start. This weekend start were from non-metal gates and I am not used to this anymore. During the opening lap of the first race I lost the front wheel in the jump. I wasn’t expecting this. I came from the last position to 20th and I made a lot of passes! The second moto I planned to to give my all after the failed first moto. I got away from the start in the 15th position and I put a lot of effort to get pass the riders in the front. I was already 10th when I made a mistake whilst coming down the hill. I lost many positions and after this I crashed another time as I had lost my rhythm already. In the end of the moto a co-rider crashed behind a jump and the flag marshal didn’t notice fast enough and didn’t wave the flag. I went into the curve on high speed and didn’t see the other guy down and crashed into him hard but managed to stay up. My silencer got damaged to much to continue due that and unfortunately had to DNF(see the photo). It was a very depressing and difficult Sunday after a great Saturday. Luck just wasn’t on my side! I was capable to fight in the first positions if I had the starts and the luck would have been on my side but this is motocross. The Arco track was very difficult to make passes. The last races haven’t gone like I have hoped but I am not willing to accept this and I am not going to give up. The speed and physique is there but this is not always not enough. I want to thank all my supporters, EMF, Jaan Saluste and especially my family. Also I would like to Tarvise Taastaja and Katri Õispuu. Thanks to her laser treatment I was able to race this weekend!  Some pain and weakness was still felt this weekend after the crash in Pärnu race.

Indonesia, Semarang GP 13-14 July 2019

Indonesia, Semarang GP 13-14 July 2019

Last weekend was the second round in Indonesia in Semarang where also A1M Husqvarna riders Tanel Leok and Andero Lusbo were in the start line. The weather at the location was hot again but there was less humidity in the air which made the conditions a little bit easier for the racers but the track itself was technical and slippery. Our guys made a good performance again and got some good points on their name.

Riders comments 👇👇

Tanel Leok: “Second Indonesian MXGP round is done. Finished 10 and 12 for 11th overall. In both rounds i finished 11 overall and i am happy with that. This track was very difficult for me and didn’t fit my style of riding and happy that i managed to get better as the day went on. It was very good for me and my team to make new contacts and to show my sponsors and fans that somehow Team A1M Husqvarna and Johnnyblooms drinks can make things happen and impossible comes possible. Big thanks to mr Yudi and his people and off course all the sponsors.”

Andero Lusbo: “This weekend was the second round of Indonesion GPs in Semarang. My races didn’t go as planned. During the first race everything was working good and speed was okey. Three laps before the finish the front wheel started slipping in the first jump and I crashed against the jump pretty hard. I lost a position and I crossed the finish line in 13th position. In the second moto I couldn’t get into rhythm from the beginning. The moto didn’t go like I wanted at all and I finished 15th. Results 13-15 put me overall 15th. I wasn’t completely happy with this GP, my own performance was lacking. I want to thank all the helpers, thank you to everyone who made these GPs possible! Thank you Tann, Mati, Hard work Racing and Kagu Motoclub! Big thanks to Husqvarna Asia- mr.Yudi and Zigit!”

Palembang GP in Indonesia and Estonian Championship round in Pärnu, 06.-07.07.2019

Palembang GP in Indonesia and Estonian Championship round in Pärnu, 06.-07.07.2019

This weekend was exciting and difficult in Estonia but also on abroad. If in Estonia it was windy, cool and rainy then Indonesia was the air also very humid but the temperature was 20 celsius degrees higher 🔥. The circumstances made motocross tracks technical on both sides and our riders had to put in a lot of effort here and there. This time debuted in Indonesia in MXGP class Andero Lusbo and of course Tanel Leok was there and in Estonia Henry Vesilind was back on track but also Kadri Ehamäe and Jörgen-Matthias Talviku raced.

Riders comments:👇👇

❌ Andero Lusbo: “MXGP of Indonesia is behind me. It was pretty difficult weekend. The heat and humidity was rough what sucked the energy supplies out of me. The first race went pretty okey and I managed to keep the tempo more or less until the end and finished in 14th place. The second race was more difficult, my strength was fading and I tried to push hard until the end again and finished 13th position. Positions 14 and 13 gave me overall 14th place.
Next weekend is already MXGP of Asia in Semarang. I will try harder and hopefully it will be easier to race in this heat then. Thank you for all supporters!”

❌ Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: ”The Estonian round on my home track just didn’t go as smoothly as I expected. The rain only did good and the track was awesome. Qualifying race was muddy and I was 3rd which was good. The first start I got away as 2nd and I wanted to take the lead but then I made a mistake and crashed. I improved my position a couple of places and finished 5th but the moto overall was horrible and it wasn’t anything like my usual riding style. Between two motos were also sprints where I was 4th. In the second moto I got a holeshot and I hoped that I can show some speed and how I am actually capable to ride but already in the first lap I crashed really hard. I made a mistake in the wave section after the table top when a fellow racer jumped in front of me and I couldn’t react. We touched and I flew off the bike on high speed. My fingers got twisted and I hurt a little my back and neck but it could’ve been worse. My bike took a proper hit and was so damaged that it wasn’t possible to ride until the end. I will try to forget this horrible day and keep training. Now I need to heal myself a little so that I could push hard next weekend in the Junior Championship. Big thanks to my fans, supporters and team!”

❌ Tanel Leok: “First Indonesian GP is done and dusted. My positions were 13th and 9th. It was a very tough GP. The first race was so difficult to make myself push hard and make a proper effort. I felt one moment that I don’t have the speed nor energy and I tried to save myself for the second moto. It felt a smart decision afterwards. I was glad that I managed to push myself forward the second Moto and didn’t just give up although it was very difficult and it was even uncomfortable to ride when you hold yourself back and still get tired. Thank you all sponsors and fans who keep supporting and cheering to us!”

❌ Henry Vesilind: “After a half year long break I am back on the bike and done some practice so we decided to take part of the Estonian round. During qualifying race the track was pretty masculine and I rode carefully. First start didn’t come out as planned, I crashed. With couple of laps I even managed to rise a few places but then I crashed again and my bike got stuck in the mud and I was dealing with this for 2 minutes and then I rode safely until the finish. In the second start someone crashed in the front what I didn’t see had happened and crashed into him and my hand got stuck unfortunately between the other guys wheel and I hurt the same injured shoulder so I came off and DNF. I will give couple days rest to the shoulder and then I can start chasing some speed again.”

❌ Kadri Ehamäe: “I raced in MX hobby class together with men in Pärnu. In the morning the track was slippery and muddy. In the qualifying race I was 4th even to my own surprise. In the first moto I managed to miss the start and in the second lap I crashed in a deep rut. I had to make passes and I finally finished 6th. I was not happy with my riding because the speed wasn’t what I am capable and I know I could have done better but I haven’t rode such deep ruts much, I felt stiff and was afraid to take jumps and corners easy.
The second start I was somewhere in the middle, the track was bumpy and I didn’t realize to set suspension accordingly and therefore the rear fork was kicking and that cut down in confidence. The whole race I was 6th and in the last lap I managed to take the 5th place. It was positive from the second moto to still find some strength to attack in the end. Overall 5th place among 12 men which was pretty good result I think! I know what are my weaknesses and what I need to keep working on still. Thank you for all the helpers, sponsors and the team!”

Teutschenthal GP in Germany 22-23 June 2019

Teutschenthal GP in Germany 22-23 June 2019

These World and European Championship rounds were held on hard pack track with deep ruts in Teutschenthal, Germany. The weather was hot, at times over +30c but that didn’t hold back the spectators and also A1M Husqvarna riders all fought hard. This time were out on track Jörgen-Matthias Talviku, Tanel Leok and Cyril Genot. All riders had the chance to touch the track with their own glove but still managed to finish their races with respectable results. Cyril and Tanel will head from here to Mölln to ADAC round and with all the rest you can meet already on 7th July at Estonian Championship round in Pärnu!

Here are the comments from the riders:

Tanel Leok: “My weekend was not that good. I felt good but I made some stupid mistakes. I finished 16 & 16 and was overall 15. Second race i crashed 2 times in the same place and they were very identical crashes which made me angry. I have enough experience to no make this kind of mistakes. I want to thank all the sponsors and people who are involved.”

Cyril Genot: “I'm really dissapointed in how my weekend played out. It's been really though for me. I started to feel really good in time practice until I had a nasty crash which I couldn't avoid. From there on I completely lost myself. Been off pace until the second moto on Sunday where I started to feel a bit more confident. Finished 25-21 in the motos which I'm not happy about. Want to give it up to the team for their hard work during the weekend!”

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku: “EMX125 in Germany is done and dusted. I am pretty happy with the weekend and happy that I managed to fight for 8th and 4th position and was overall 5th. It was also awesome to win free practice and to show my speed in muddy and rutty track. I managed to do two good starts which was very positive. What made me gutted is the fact they soaked the jumps which made the track very dangerous for the riders. Unfortunately also I put my paw down in the first lap of the first moto. The second moto I got away in 4th position and rode most of the race in this place but then suddely rose to

3rd. I am disappointed that I gave this place away just 2 laps before finish and had to finish 4th. It is still a good result by me in this muddy and slippery track! Thank you to team, family and supporters!
